Managers and management recycle oldies with vendor resources. They want people who do not question and say "yes" for everything. Managers do not work, no skills and if kicked out wont get job in grocery stores. For years have established well network and groomed in politics. There are so many IT architects with no work. Why are they getting protected. HR and ELT have no visibility at that level. Direction they are heading is wipe all IT onsite except business facing and send all jobs to offshore. Power hunger leaders in offshore are ready take any work

Real Mafia has a code of conduct based on principles and respect for other families. At cisco they don’t even know what these words mean
new it leadership is uber mafia if the old was. the 1% are in the loop - sjc based - and the results of the promise is - nothing for most in IT. I think there has been alot of the best people leaving voluntarily.

Threads like this are exactly why ELT need to focus on diversity. KEEP ‘EM COMING, it only increases the visibility of the toxic racism at Cisco.
Cisco is only 26% women, and for those lamenting that a corporation is choosing skilled H1Bs, consider that Asians (these are ALL Asians at Cisco, not just Indians) are 37% of Cisco’s workforce. This up only 1% from 2016. The long-standing majority, 52%, are Caucasian. And let’s not forget that the board is a whopping 90% Caucasian.

Cisco IT makes Enron look ethical. It's a good thing no one actually audits the budgets in IT.
So true, most of them are running friend and family show from decades, they don't care about company, they easily get read of talented resources and replace them with their own people through mafia company , it's the time company should identify them and throw them out if they want to keep it alive.
Hint: If resource(s) they can be FTE/ Vendor working for more than 5 years around same group of people, thats where you need to target.
