Cisco should consider cutting its dividend temporarily, growing its technical talent, bringing innovation from within and using this cash to avoid layoffs. Laying off employees is not a solution but a temporary patch. Demotivated employees don't produce great products. If Chuck is unable steer the sinking Cisco ship, he should step aside so some else can take the helm and steer it before it goes completely down under. Cisco was a leader in networking but now even this core technology area is led by Amazon and Google. Scary times are yet to come for Cisco if the current trend continues.
