Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Warned, again.

I haven't been here in a while but today, our store manager warned us again not to read or write on this website (or any other social media) because it is against company policy. Or we will risk termination.
Of course, I immediately came on here to read what all the commotion was about. Did they take down any new harassment or abuse stories? Did I miss something good?

if they suspect it's you posting negative here, we will find a reason to disassociate you from the company it's not that hard to pinpoint exactly whom the complainers are, everyone has a distinct style of writing that is almost like fingerprint. Wise up

Get out while you can !
If you don’t , who’s to blame ?
You know what BN will do.
Save yourself or you deserve what you get.

It is true they know when it will end. Even worse is that the top people at corporate will get a huge golden parachute and almost every other BN employee will walk away with nothing. Not even severance. Places are hiring right now, some that pay above minimum wage, now is the time to leave BN before they leave you.

Management & corporate already knows how it’s going to end and When it’s going to end.

This page tells the truth about how a tremendously c-appy company Barnes really is. How cheap they are, and they still don't make money. There were some nights I had to ring up nearly 300 transactions in a shift because I was the only cashier. Firing maintenance staff and letting the store literally look like c-ap. So many examples, so little time.

My managers telling us to stay off here too. They know the truth is here. Not the BS they’re peddling. Next weeks hours have been slashed even more .

My store manager is always on this page and she's super nosey. I wonder if she knows the entire store is reading about her.

She knows.

If anyone says anything negative on social media about the company or whom works there will be reprimanded and/or fired. This is nothing new.

How would he be able to tell who post so he can fire that person? Did he say? It's all done anonymously.

I agree with Post ID: @nzn+175CUfeh. Off the clock/on break/outside-whatever—they have no say in what you look at or read about the company. Too bad that BN, like other companies, chooses not to be transparent with ALL of its employees. That’s why they come to sites like this—to have others to talk with without fear of reprisals & to try to gather information.

Is anyone on the BN Bookseller Facebook page? I'm curious what they're saying on it.

It was the usual blah, don't say anything negative about the company, blah blah blah.
I was more interested that they're talking about this page.

Excuse me? S/he meant during the time when you are on the clock, right? (You just forgot to mention that part) Otherwise, tell them to kiss your @#$&! When you are on YOUR own time , you can do whatever the hell you damn well please and that's U.S. policy!
