The state's low cost of living is due to the high local production of agriculture and food as well as petroleum. Sportsman's Paradise, C-sinos, Gulf front Propery up to Alexandria , Swamps, Chemical Plants, Oil Refineries, Tabasco Sauce, Tony Chachere's, Louisiana Fish Fry, Beingets, etc...to many to list. A state that use High Technology and decision making to insist FREEWAYs are built above ground unlike Houston. A place that saved its Forest by using Petrochemicals to provide the world with Plastics.
