More like 15% pay cut lah (not 20%) cos they still have to give the 13th month AWS, w/o the bonus

every manager will want a world class team, will not want an ex-PIP person, that's the hard truth.

For people who are not here long enough, without bonus and ltsa, that is easily 20% pay cut without announcing pay cut, don't be like those sheep shouting #weareexxonmobil, if #weareexxonmobil, share us your huge pay cheque, then i will shout for you

We should be happy for those who passed the PIP. However, do you think managers would want to risk taking in an ex-PIP into the team next year? This is a behavioural problem that we might face next year...never ending......... Meaning PIP pass also you cannot stay longer?😮😭

@1Hwdb+16zEvLP3 Agree. Take a senior MPT employee earning say $300-350K pa (on a 15-mth annualised basis). He will now be taking about $40-50K pa less, without the bonus and LTSA.

That impact sum is likely insignificant impetus for him to take flight, given his middle age and chances of re-employability. And he will probably stay put, in the interest of his mortgage(s) and other family and financial commitments.

Long serving employees likely to stay even if no 3 months AWS or LTSA next year. At some of our current pay scale and age, it is not possible to switch... unfortunately.

Remember if you wish to resign, tender only on or after the 15th day of the month. This way you will be entitled for the additional prorated bonus and benefits. Every cent counts!

Pro-rated bonus? This year - Yes. Next year onwards - likely No.

@1Grqk+16zEvLP3 No lah, you will still get your pro-rated bonus if you failed PIP and have to leave.

Not all PIP passed, many failed. Those didnt make please report to mom. Just prove to mom that the improvement program is unrealistic and bias supervisor assessment. You loss your prorated bonus taking pip instead of pil.

In US, even executve rank managers got laid off, age is not on their side. Same will definitely come to Sg, just a matter of time.

Bloomberg Dec 1, 2020

(Bloomberg) – Exxon Mobil Corp. is suspending employee bonuses for this year after the crude-market collapse spurred a record run of quarterly losses for the oil titan. Top executives, however, will still receive stock awards.

The Exxon board’s compensation committee “exercised discretion in light of challenging industry conditions and resulting company earnings,” the company said in a regulatory filing on Monday. Chief Executive Officer Darren Woods and his four top lieutenants will receive restricted stock units, according to a separate filing on Tuesday.

The oil supermajor has endured a torrid year in which crude demand and prices crashed, forcing the company to slash spending forecasts and target 14,000 jobs for elimination. Exxon also disclosed it expects to write down as much as $20 billion in assets during the current quarter.

Exxon’s top executives – Woods, Senior Vice Presidents Andrew Swiger, Neil Chapman and Jack Williams, as well as global projects head Neil Duffin – will share 554,400 in restricted stock awards, about the same as a year earlier. The awards were valued at about $37.5 million in total last year, but Exxon shares have tumbled about 40% since then.

This complaining from Singapore is really stupid. It doesn’t change anything. DW and his special team of 4-5 continues to get paid nicely - https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-01/exxon-is-suspending-employee-bonuses-after-oil-market-collapse

So you slaves in Singapore should just continue to keep your head down and working silently, while praying that the country study doesn’t pick you as efficiencies.

If GSK is so empathetic, he would shield innocent retiree and staff from PIP / PIL exercise.
You must be either legal, P&GA or HR and pray at him as your God

We have to thank Gan for his contribution in retaining the 3 months bonus for all Singaporeans . His farewell video is resolute and encouraging, despite the deterioration of trust and motivation caused by Dallas and Houston leadership.
Wish him well in retirement and hopefully new senior leadership take heed and repair the trust, first by respecting all employees, be truthful and transparent. Empathetic leadership skills should be the number one of all core traits and leaders should be ranked based on genuine feedback by subordinates.

@1zuon+16zEvLP3 I heard every rank group has NSIs - including the >CL 30 executives. So there will be managers who will be asked to go (or early retire).

Join WIN the correct choice. They will teach you to act, and make the boss happy. This is EM culture - ACTING. Take LPO example, who believe this will work. Only the top manager believe it as EM already put in huge money. Which manager dare to against the top.

Just monitor the top management drive. Once out of EM gate drive like F1 driver.

From June 2020 onward, to join grab need to attend 2.5 days course. Those that intends to drive Grab, better go register now. To complete the course will take at least 3 months, then can drive Grab. No joke.

Those never drive for >6 months will need to attend the course.

Other platform are Gojek and Ryde.
