Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Never seen so many retirements

Is it just me or will August be a record for management retiring? Every day a new org change notice with multiple people leaving. Only about half the jobs seem to get filled.

This is what change looks like. We won’t be an industrial when this is done.

Thanks to all that have gutted it out through Honeyhell for all those years believing it will get better. The mantra by the Honeywell elite that truly benefit from the minions is all is well. Well all is hell and has been from Dave Cote forward, Honeywell was truly a company with a conscience until Allied Signal bought and stole our sole. It was a company that thought the best of its employees until they became cattle under the Allied Signal regime.

I'm mid-career. My recovery plan couldn't be going better. Other companies love to recruit from Honeywell ranks because they know how badly we're treated and how well we perform our duties. Keep your head up and your eyes open. Be sure to you've update your LinkedIn account and turn on the option that says you're looking for new opportunities. The recruiters will be contacting you regularly and you'll find something that checks all the boxes.

I used to think we invented stuff ... like guidance systems. Then i learned the real histories and read the lawsuits. Now i know better. We have had a few good ideas but never , ever has honeywell been brave enough to pioneer.

Honeywell is not a software company regardless of how many time DA says it is on investor calls. It is just a shell of a formally mid-performing industrial with lots of aggressive accountants.

They’ll need to sell the industrial sites. Don’t see it any other way

You dont need to stay in a place where the employer feels you are required. Thats where the toxicity starts. if Hon decides that they are no longer a Industrial Manfacturer but a Software company, thats where the down slide started....it wouldnt get better...

If you are ‘retired’ you are very lucky. If you are young, you have the chance to get out. If you are mid-career, you will never recover from this.

"We won’t be an industrial when this is done." That is part of the PLAN!
