Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Any new news on seaworld San Diego?

Does anyone know what’s going one for San Diego? I wasn’t demoted from full time to part time and I didn’t even get a starting date and many supervisors don’t know what’s going on. Just asking if you guys know anything?

SEA is bring back some team members who were PT with benefits. The catch is, you are applying for a position that is PT with no medical/insurance benefits, just PTO.

Remember that statement in your furlough letter, your position is not guaranteed...well here we are.

SEA has done this at each park that is open, so you're not alone in your frustration and anger San Diego.

I believe they are reducing their FT positions to PT. There will only be a few full time positions now.

What department are you in?

So it sounds more like it was a "you are now pt or you are let go" and not a question if accepting it

If they didn't tell you when you'd be back at work or more there is no way we have that info

You were contacted by swsd and accepted a demotion from ft to pt? Did you speak to HR when accepting the new position?
