Is the current focus at Wells Fargo remaining profitable, retaining customers, gaining new customers, meeting customers needs, or is it now only what employees they are going to lay off?

The goal is, as always and with all large corporations, to drive up the stock price, everything else is just an impediment or a means to an end
The only goal is to fire people
Goal #1: Increase WF share price.
Goal #2: Anything that accomplishes Goal #1.
Priority #1: Chainsaw Charlie hires all of his buddies who are not minorities and pay them millions
Priority #2: After all the non minorities are hired, implement an EEO hiring mandate and tie executive pay to it
Priority #3: Get all the interns to post all about the wonderful experiences they had aboard the Stage Coach. Then have HR respond to them all
Priority #4: Donate hundreds of millions to charities and other politically correct causes while slashing thousands of jobs and paying tellers minimum wage
Getting the asset cap removed is #1 and reduce cost is #2. The end result of both is a business that can be sold in parts.
Number two priority is to "improve our efficiency ratio" seems to equate way too much on doing so by laying off employees and not enough emphasis on other ways to do so.
What’s not to believe? He said he wants to cut costs and pay people off, and he is.
Somebody actually believes what emails from the CEO say?
Do you receive and read emails from the CEO? The number one priority is to get the asset cap lifted. Number two priority is to improve our efficiency ratio.
Fire people!
Get out from under asset cap is number one priority
The goal is to make it attractive enough to sell off businesses.
