What you guys think of the new position member specialist, any one know the hours and job duties

does any one know whether a member specialist has to push carts at all?
Lol well our specialist don't get upgrades or credits. They stand around and do nothing. The only time they will get anything is if they have to be a cashier. Walk around the store what a crock ours don't lol it's a joke. There are other positions that deserve 16 hour more than they do like merchandisers, forklift drivers, fulfilment, at least they are actually doing physical work. And they deserve more pay they don't just stand there.
Sam's Club is over working the member specialists. The club is usually understaffed and the managers ride the specialist to get credits and upgrades. Meanwhile trying to assist with self checkout, key flicks and making sure other associates get their breaks. It's all about the numbers to assure the managers get their bonuses.
My wife got offered this job today after working at Sam's for 8 weeks because she kicks tail at work.
This is a good move. Automation frees up labor that is obsolete. Advance!
This new position is only being offered to cashiers right now. What a crock. Most of ours have been there six months or less.

lol, Someone ask "Is this person over team leads?" The answer is no. They're not going to give someone making sixteen an hour power over someone making eighteen an hour.

It's for like 10 people I believe. 7 full time 3 part time. And yes they will do self check scan and go and exit door. I believe membership going away and the people who work there will have to move to one of these positions or be a cashier which I find ridiculous. Most cashiers don't have a clue and are not even smart enough to do membership. At our store anyways. And entrance door will be like 4 part-time positions. This is sams getting rid of older people. Because all the older people that usually do door cannot just do that unless they are part time and it's only entrance. It's crazy and wrong because a lot of older people have been ones that help build the club. So ur new positions are carts 15 hour, cashiers 15 and member specialists 16 hour. Yes 16 hour while merchandisers wont get a raise. Which I find so very wrong.

In the club I use to work I got told the person was a manager. And very unprofessional, harassing many employees, and I believe the person still in there doing the same thing lol

Looks like it will. And it's not a one person role. It's multiple depending on club volume. Member leads got the club communication and toolkit today and you key in your club number and it will tell you how many FT and PT each role will have. I think on avg it's gonna be 8 FT and few PTs
They'll cover the exit, self checkout and scan and go. They'll also work membership and assist member leads in training Frontline Service.
I understood that one of the people in marketing had either step down or leave before this job was open.
