Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Member leads will not receive a raise. Marketing leads, cashiers, Club Pick up, Frontline associate.

Member team leads aren’t getting a raise. It only spoke about cashiers, member assist and the new role member specialist!! I believe another layout will come out for merchandisers to get a pay raise.

what about the merchandisers who are pulled to the front, to run, cashier, cover self checkouts, cover the door. I have been asked to get credit, upgrades and even member champ. To say merchandisers don't help in that area is wrong, plain wrong. We all deserve to be raised up. The cashiers may deserve a raise but they are not any better than anyone else. We have a bunch of whining gossips who do nothing but put down the mgt. and mss'. They call in all the time. Pay them more and then they will stay, ha....

Membership Leads will receive a increase of pay.

Unfortunately for merchandisers they don't get credits and plus. That's the real money makers.

To the person who said that cashiers don’t do near the same amount of work as a merchandiser, I wish I could invite you to come to my club. Our merchandisers take frequent breaks on and off the floor all through the day. They do not participate in helping to get credit or upgrades, renewals or new memberships. They keep to themselves without interacting with members for The majority of their work shift. They get all of their breaks and lunches, maybe not on time but they do get them. Merchandisers do not cashier in our club, however our cashiers not only do their own job but they also back up the merchandisers when they don’t get all their work done in an eight hour day. I don’t know how you measure ‘work’, but since I work in neither department I would say that it’s a close call over here.
