Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

An extremely relatable Dilbert comic

This comic strip is almost 14 years old and I feel like this is with layoffs at places like HPE, IBM, DXC, Intel, etc.

Just remember folks: You only got laid off because of your higher ups making poor choices that you didn't ask for and you have to face the consequences while your higher ups keep their jobs.

I want to disagree with you and use even more condescending response to your statement.. but you're correct. I was one of those +10 year employees who followed the rules went to college ,did my job very well and received a less than modest salary..and the big WFR. .they can get 2 for the price of 1 in CR or "India"... it's unfortunate for sure...the organization should be ashamed...and current employees "concerned"..

“So the company hires two or three of these slugs to do your job and then pockets the difference.”. So one employee did the job in the past equal to rwo employees do the same job now LOL

No, you got laid off either because you did not possess the necessary skill set to get the job done, or you are way to expensive and some slug in a $h!t hole country can do 1/2 your job for 1/8 the wage. So the company hires two or three of these slugs to do your job and then pockets the difference.

This is the way it works. It is immoral, unethical, and very disturbing. But it is the 21st century norm. Get on the gravy train and retire by 55, or you will be working until the day you drop.
