Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF will come back to haunt you after you leave them if you don't cut off all ties to them don't

After I was laid off from WF I checked with WF and found out I was not eligible for retire. They said I was overpaid for two weeks of PTO but could offer no proof. I was having problems finding a job so I repaid the money. It took about 4 months of many phone calls and emails for them to remove the "ineligible for rehire" flag. I can never look at my 401K account as password according to WF is invalid and the tool doesn't recognize any of my 3 account numbers. I am going to close all of my WF accounts and roll over the 401K. If you are smart you will do the same as I regret not doing it. No more stagecoach rides for me

Worked at WF for 3 years. My last day was a couple weeks ago.

Other than my 401k, I never had a single account with them LOL. I had no incentive to switch over to WF accounts (I have all free premium checking/savings accounts already with another bank) and after about a year I realized how big of a mess WF is. Forget that.

Worked at WF for 3+ years and was consistently rated as a high performer... never a customer LOL

I wouldn’t worry about being marked not eligible for rehire, unless you have a burning desire to come back to work for WF in the future. WF will never report that to any prospective employer- just your dates of employment, title, and salary (if you request a salary key). WF cares much more about avoiding a defamation lawsuit than about trying to block you from getting a job elsewhere.
