Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

More Layoffs? (Shocked Face...)

hearing a rumor that there are going to be massive layoffs in September...anyone able to substantiate that? My understanding is that Q3 is going miserable due to COVID and we are going to be following Dell, IBM, etc in a huge WFR?

As I keep saying in previous posts about layoffs:

Yes... Expect layoffs for at least two more years. Antonio has made it very clear that he’s executing Order 66, I mean, his two year reorganization plan. These plans may or may not include layoffs and they may or may not include the company purchasing assets such as other companies and stock buybacks, etc. that will make you question HPE’s culture and hypocrisy. Antonio may or may not have said that he’s doing his best to not spend any money in the company’s bank account and he may or may not be giving out dividends.

He pleads the 5th and asks for his lawyer if you bring any of this up.

On the bright side, you can still use your recognition points to get yourself a free coffee mug and stocks are finally above $10/share... but not for long. I predict that Q3 is going to be as bad, or if not worse than, Q2. But the severance pay is quite generous. You’ll get a lot of money for leaving the company and if you find a job quickly (outside of HPE), you’ll practically thank the company for getting rid of you since you just cashed in that severance. They’re probably paying hundreds of millions of dollars to let go everyone... Your pay cut is likely contributing towards people’s severance payments.

Hold on to your gender specified under garments. You’ll be in one heck of a hide for a couple of years.

If you haven’t had work for a couple of days, your manager will know your activity and it could be a red flag that you’re not contributing to the company, hence you will be lynched by the company.

I do not think this should come as a surprise given the past history and what's going on due to COVID. So, you need to do what you can and not worry about things you can do nothing about,
