For WHQ - correct me if I’m wrong
V- used to be receptionists and janitors. Not sure they have V any more?
A- security guards and administrative assistants
L- manager or coordinator. Usually not people manager at WHQ
U- manager, senior manager, Director
S- there are multiple levels of S. Sr Director- VP

I just saw a movie where a guys does heroic deeds and at the end he get knighted by queen.

In Nike if you sacrifice, commit and do great deeds without question then you end up with kick in the a++ with firing via Skype or Tiktok like your yesterday's newspaper.

I don't know why company turned like this. Maybe I am simplistic fool

You forgot the distribution centers mainly located in Memphis TN area.
Many V and A bands Material handlers and clerk positions.
L bands Area manger positions. Analyst etc.
U band Operations managers and some position have no one reporting to them.
E Directors.
S Senior Directors.
In the DC you maybe responsible to lead large teams of full time and temp employees at the L band level.

V/A - these are mostly field roles, few at WHQ
L - entry level professional role, new grads, juniors
U - wide range of talent, can be anywhere from intermediate individual contributors to senior managers
E - Principals and Directors, first level eligible for stock
S- Sr. Directors
E1-E7 - many many layers/levels of VP

Not all U's are managers. That's a misconception. U here and definitely not managing anything except my own work.

It is not right that we are made to wait and take on so much more stress to see if we will or will not have a job. Could be tomorrow....next week...the weeks after that? May be next month or the month after...WTF! Get it over with, for f—'s sake!

V- valued less than any other level
A- always does the grunt work of others
L- low level supervisors toiling in obscurity
U- unfortunate mid level mgr aspiring for more but never gaining a foothold
E- emotionally distant directors removed from V,A,L & U workday struggles
S- sanctimonious and usually self serving VP

Can someone please translate the bands into titles? I’m trying to understand how high is high at Nike.

I know the hierarchy has bands (VALUES) ... I read a lot on here about how L and U bands are really doing all the work, so I’d like to put that into context at my company.

V - ?
A - ?
L - ?
U - Sr manager?
E - Director?
S - Sr director?
