Anyone else noticed that Cisco has gone off the rails lately with useless reports. I'm in Sales, and its gotten to such an extreme level that is about all we do now is fill out spreadsheets, PPT decks, plans, etc. Only to be stored on a file share to check the box and die. Teamspace is also a waste, but luckily only takes a few minutes (tolerable). Hopefully new/future leadership will get back to basics of helping customers.

If they remade Officespace today in 2020, they would have to add a new plot element for woke-ness and social justice at Innotek.
When you are finally cut loose you will look back and think: was it worth spending many hours looking through meaningless data, creating a worthless powerpoint deck?
If you truly have a family goal, such as getting your sons and daughters through school; you will hopefully realize you did the right thing.
If you are grinding away at that powerpoint for the love of money and little else; congrats Neo you truly are back in The Matrix so none if it matters anyway.
As I press send with a 4 MB PPT I have worked day and night for over a week I realize thats the last to be seen of it...........
I left cisco a over year ago for greener pastures. Do the sales teams still have ladies that get on calls every Monday with the RMs and again with the ODs to MANUALLY enter numbers the AM's call out verbally to commit too? EVEN THOUGH this data could/should be automatically pushed / pulled from SFDC? That practice has always made me laugh and realize how bad Cisco is at actual business.
- 1. The RMs and OD's can't enter the data themselves
- 2. The weekly manual entry of the data somehow justifies a full-times for "Sales Operations" people, when Engineers, Developer, SAs, and others are the first to be LR'ed
- 3. While Cisco pays a boatload of money for SFDC, and Sales people are forced to use it, this Data is essentially either (a) ignored, or (b) manually reconciled between SDFC and Excel Spreadsheets
Let me know when you have your meeting with the “Bob(s)”
It’s a symptom of too many management layers.
My current bug-bear is the FY21 planning in my BU.
PMs and TMEs are all generating reams of material, which everybody knows is never going to be seen again. In fact, these decks are never going to be seen the first time. Because the execs have decided that they are too busy to read, review or be briefed. So everybody now has to summarize their decks into a VIDEO (which is just about THE most inefficient way possible to update one person).
So, update your skills, get up to speed on a video and audio editor.
Only to be stored on a file share to check the box and die.
Sooo true, makes me sad. I am wasting my best years on this junk. It pays well tho
All you need now is a Red Stapler?
