And how would you suggest getting rid of 15,000 union jobs?
About 15000 union jobs and their bloated benefits would be a great start. Outsource the call centers (all of them supporting wireline and wireless - not a single one left on the VZ payroll) and really dig into the need to have any company Wireless stores - move it all online or to resellers. Then a 2 year moratorium on stupid tech purchases and you have it.
60k for a retail job. smh. what other retail job pays that?
Wireless is now 60k a year. They took most of commission away and replaced it with an unattainable customer survey goal, to make any money.
Your at the top of the list for that stupid question.
40k to make it up in 2021.
Say what you want but one thing is for sure, Tracphone is a great place for the customers to do Verizon's testing of second tier quality phones such as ZTE and maybe Huawei. When I was a Network Assurance "Engineer", it was phones like those from those discount carriers that was noising up our uplink path at times causing issues for our own customers. So if Verizon could improve the quality of equipment Tracphone is selling it would be a good thing for Verizon customers.
Verlieson is a zombie company already. $117.74 billion in total debt. No one crawls out of a hole like that. They are just doing what zombie companies that can't innovate in the face of competition do: Buy other companies to make it look like they are doing something good until the credit cards are maxed out. Its a great distraction from reality.
Wireless about 85000, union 20000.
Just a ballpark figure...
