You do realize there were layoffs coming in 2020 regardless, right?
Remember when everyone was PO'ed last year when the vacation rules changed?
The vacation policies weren't changed to make things easier, but instead changed t minimize the PTO pay out in California (CA state law requires it). They reduced max PTO time for hourlies. They took away salaried PTO and then said "it's unlimited PTO with manager's approval" – which actually means there's nothing in the books for the salaried employees. NO PTO payouts for you salaried CA folks. To my knowledge, layoffs haven't hit CA yet, but they are coming.
Covid just gave them the excuse that they needed to make it wider and far reaching.
Salaried and FT positions are being wiped out and replaced by seasonal or PT positions. Some positions have had their titles and job descriptions altered slightly to give the appearance of being 'new', but they will pay less than you were making with low to no benefits.
This was an easy way for them to remove dedicated tenured employees who over the years who received raises during their many years of service.
Move on people. SeaWorld doesn't give a sh– about you or the talent pool they are losing. They will limp along until they are able to file for bankruptcy.
