Aren’t you excited that it’s BP Week, whatever that means? You can watch webcasts of your bosses talk about how they are saving the world by firing people. Yay!

I think mouseville is a cheap tourist attraction in the states. It’s like a miniature cardboard city set up with living mice in it. It seems like a provincial and vague reference

I'm out of the loop on these things. What is Mouseville? I'm almost afraid of the answer as it will cause me to gag. I'll also admit when I was with bp, I paid absolutely no attention to these dog and pony shows. I couldn't muster up the attention needed. I just get input from my colleagues who did attend them.

In general BoDs are the same club of people as the senior leadership at a company. Boards are very incestuous and members usually take care of leadership. It’s mutually beneficial. Btw, did you notice that bp recently dropped $1.1 billion on offshore wind in a partnership with Equinor? I wonder how that deal was brokered????

When is the board going to realize the company will run just fine if you cut the so called Senior Leadership team. I am tired of Yammer emails that are mostly pointless and repeatative.

I hope and pray they prove the mouseville comment wrong. But these days it impossible to muster up the faith of a mustard seed for our company

And these “presenters” are supposed to be our elite! 😡 If I was responsible for a poor presentation like what they did today then I would be severed. Pathetic. Stock price is now just over $19 per share. BP top of the house is MOUSEVILLE!!!!

I know it’s not easy standing up there talking to as big an audience as they did, but good lord they did not come across well. I wanted to hand Giulia a shot of whiskey to calm her down.

"Sociopathic con artists! And toss in a healthy dose of narcissism." - is a business like BP, that's the recipe for success.

Can't be long until Bernard puts the for sale sign goes up on what's left of the UKCS assets. Spencer laying the ground work for that earlier today.

How would any of this drivel motivate a potential investor. Bp week is painful to watch. do the speakers believe their own bs or are they sociopaths

Missed the introduction part. Wondering if the infamous Lord John Brown (Looney’s mentor) is in the audience? Wouldn’t surprise me.

I had to suppress a chuckle. In my years, I've seen various types of these PR events. But, I don't recall it ever happening in the midst of massive layoffs and restructuring. If they had the courage to measure employee morale, I'm rather certain that the only ones registering high values are those who have been notified that they'll be retained. The comment on the financial situation seems realistic to me. It's bleak. Has there been announcement of the next dividend payout? I am only aware that the last one was slashed by 50%. Now it's reduced by 2/3? I am still struggling to see how they are going to make any money on green energy? It can only work if there is a carbon tax, and for all of bp's competitors to leave petroleum.

Truly and honestly I am surprised we have not seen investor litigation yet!!! I fear it’s coming.

The webcast is like watching local news TV as presented by Thunderbird puppets. Gordon's going to get a telling off for shouting at the investors.

Right now we are sporting our worst ever debt to equity ratio!! Worst ever!! Dividend had to be cut by two/thirds. Stupidly spent $10.1 Billion on BHP’s North America assets. We just had to become the backing finance for Hilcorp to purchase Alaska, and I would not be surprised if we also financed the INEOS, San Juan Basin and remaining Oklahoma sales. Laying off thousands of us!!!! Then they go off and spend $1.1 BILLION for a 50% share in a floundering offshore wind project???????????? To prove they are re-imagining us out of oil and gas and into a new age renewable energy company. These guys know how to IMAGINE alright. So BP Week has GOT to be more imaginary rubbish for Wall Street to NOT swallow, con artiste exercising for the EVP/SVP’s and self delusion for us employees and investors. Oh yeah!!! I’m riveted to my computer screen for Shark Week....oops darn auto correct....meant to type BP Week.

BP week is basically our EVPs showing investors how many times our technology can fall down in one webcast.

They’re doing pretty well so far I would say.

What is BP Week anyway? Did our PR department just decide to declare this BP Week so they can have something to do? I imagine this like the ice cream industry declaring national nice cream day.
