Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Good news!!!

Due to the ongoing pandemic Verizon is working effortlessly to improve nothing. Just focusing on 5gee and how to lower headcount without severance packages.

With all this in consideration we will be sunsetting pay and morale permanently. Enjoy your volunteer roles as cashiers.

5 years ago I was making 2500-4000 commission every month. And the only reason it was worth dealing with customers/management tactics was the money. It’s gone all the way down hill. Once they eliminated the heavy hitters events it went to hell.

If you were not motivated to look for a new job, this might just do it. When I started 5 years ago the pay, spiffs, rec you, and benefits really made dealing with some of the none sense worth it.

Now, there are no recognizing you, reduced store discount from %35 to %25, reduced pay through harder commissions and increased the workload (sell more to make less), and also do inventory since they got rid of the inventory specialist ( or experience specialist whatever they called them). In all this job was once pretty solid these days you really should consider other options.
