I listened live in person as Looney told the audience of employees that people are BP’s greatest asset. In times like this you find out how important people are to BP - squat . Yeah, which people, Joker ?

I agree, it is shocking and saddening but that’s not to say the things being said are not true. The fact is there are people who are or have been close to him who have been exposed to a somewhat different side to him. Believe what you want but keep your eyes open, things aren’t always what they seem.
As both an employee and a shareholder I am shocked and saddened by these comments.
When he said people are bp’s most important asset, he meant investors not employees.
Fake platitudes to keep the masses pacified. I wouldn’t be surprised if he brought Lord Brown to admire him from the audience. It is surprising he spent thousands of dollars to travel to Alaska. Must have needed a little vacation escape from quarantine.
