Well when the DMMO lets guys at Macon know Atlanta hiring I’d give it some serious thought she’s telling you to read between the lines

they spent millions in Bellevue and they didn't think twice about closing it. Macon will not be closed, just idled, they will flat switch and it will be a shyt show for sure. get your resumes in order, only the top few will survive.

Not true, why would they spend millions to be in the same exact situation they are in now, doesn't make sense, on the other side, if it doesn't make sense then it's probably true.

Where did they come up with a name like Macon? It conjures up images of a side of bacon.

they have been trying to figure out a way for a while to shut macon down. that was Mike Farrells grand finale, but he didn't make it to the last act. the pieces are in place though to make it happen and do it pretty quick.

there are too many industries around macon that have big profit margins. if you guys that work there are smart you would covet them and take care of them. they are all that is protecting your job at the moment.
Yee Yee!

I heard all the intermoble was going to be switched over to intermodal

Apparently all of Austells intermoble and inmans will transfer up to gainsville Ga once it’s finished then Macon’s freight will move to Inman

More intermodal hubs are being built and the traffic patterns will shift when they open. Shutting Macon down has been talked about for at least 7 months. If the mixed freight can be redistributed to allow minimal flat switching then it'll happen.

Before we believe anything silly about Inman taking mixed freight, let's remember that Inman is the Intermodel hub of Norfolk Southern.

They have no reason to sh– all over that for mixes freight

All rumors.

Inman is not big enough to hold Macon Traffic.

Don’t believe this rumor!

They are beefing up Inman and Birmingham for sure. Wouldn’t be adding extra expenses without offsetting somewhere. It would be nice if a manager or two would have the decency to give the kind folks in Macon a respectable warning other then walking them out the day of and claiming it was an “emergency force reduction”
