What does an indirect account manager do these days? They supposedly place phone calls to stores and review their touch less results. You think they would have the courtesy to at least schedule webinars with the agents for accountability that they’re actually doing the calls they say.

Indirect locations are the future, yes. Corporate employees driving around checking merchandising at Walmart’s won’t last.

Sounds like we have a few Butt Hurt people who have no clue what they are talking about. If you don't like retail apply out. More than likely you are unwanted in leadership and have to use this site as an outlet for your anger. Working in retail for 10 years I can tell you that the Indirect role is harder than retail five times over. Indirect is the future of consumer retail and all you will be good for is transferring contacts and bill escalations.

Seriously, no one knows what Indirect does anymore. The Local side was micromanaged and then when they merged, they realized how little the National side does. Not sure how that channel is still afloat with the head count and resources.
The same as any other jack wagon nowadays. Work from home and do their bs virtual visits. Maybe visit a store or two a week. Do just enough to be considered “worth it”. While us retail folks see more and more cuts
