Legacy sick time

If any of you have used legacy sick time did you just request time on the same system or did you have to ask a manager to put the sick time in for you?

Oh h=ll no, you won't get your sick time when you leave. If you have been around long enough to have the "legacy" sick time, you should know it's gone forever.

Someone at my club ran out of pto then they starting using old personal and sick. With this dumb virus they are allowing you to use it for yourself and it is unlimited

On the wire it says that during the covid crisis it can be used for yourself also..and it can exceed two weeks...I just wanted to know if you can just request a day of sick pay via the system or must you ask a manager face to face?

You have to call Sedgwic to authorize it. You can only use 2 weeks and only to care for someone else. They also require documentation from Healthcare provider saying you are needed to care for this person. Legacy hours can only be used if you have no pto left.
