Old time full timers

Anyone else hear rumors in October the old time full timers will be told they have to go part time that hours won’t be available?
That would = no severance and no unemployment

I cant imagine there'd be more cuts any time soon. They would have to wait for stores to get hired up again with part timers first. Most stores that I know of (baby stores) can barely run on the staff we're left with. If we lose 1 more keyholder I dont know what we'll do. We have almost no salesfloor left either and I just lost a bunch of cashiers to back to school which I'm sure Mark didnt take into consideration either. The 2 ASM's left at my store are already looking for a new job, and the other keyholder wants out too. When they leave I'm pretty sure they'd have to shut my store down as there would only be 1-2 keyholders left with no one else willing to take keys.

Yes, the FT can re apply in 2 weeks. They can come back with only PT hours, and NO Benifits.
BBB would love that, an ex employee = no training...save company $$$$
Look for another job.

Seems like the lay offs are after the quarter end close to see how much money they didn't make so October sounds about right for more lay offs. Also keep in mind these lay offs have been already determined months and months ahead!

I don't think any full time employees and department sups are safe I think they will give the option to drop to part time or let us go. Why would they keep us? when they can have part timers cover and they wouldn't have to pay for our benefits. Its all about money in this sinking ship.

I was one of the ones laid off on tuesday, and today I received a phone call from my SM telling me that if I wanted to apply as PT I could and would able to be rehired by next week.
Im not going back, I feel like not only its a downgrade but BBB is also a lost cause.
The same way they laid you off today, they can lay you off tomorrow with no warning.

Theres been rumors of full time either being eliminated, or just not being hired for going forward. They’re moving fast, I didnt think they’d be cutting full timers AS soon as they did, but Tuesday proved most of us wrong. I dont see why they’d wait til October. They barely give a days notice now as it is it seems like.

Eh it’s a rumor. They didn’t have a problem with this weeks blood bath. So why would they not just cut it now.
