Thinking: What was my life this time four years ago. Can't exactly recall, but know that I would not be able to be around all the people I love without a mask and social distancing. If I needed something at the store, I simply grabbed my car keys and drove to the store to get it. Now, it is a process. First see if the store is still with pandemic hours. Once you get to the store hoping you don't have to wait to be able to go in the store due to limited amount of people in the store. When you get in the store looking at the eyes of the employees over the top of their masks, it saddens you to think these souls have to be here.

This is so unfair and unsafe. Greedy stockholders and obnoxious customers.

They don't really care about their people all they care about is the Almighty dollar ! They all took their big bonuses and cut all the little people who made their company what it is. I worked at macys for ten years. Furloughed and then called and told we don't need you anymore your position has been eliminated. BS . AND I HAD 5 WEEKS VACATION PAY 40HRS OF SICKTIME AND CARRIED OVER SICK TIME. NOW OUT OF A JOB! MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY FROM COVID19. DIDN'T GET MY VACATION PAY THEY SAY YOU DIDN'T EARN ANY

With what has happened this year with the virus and everyone being furloughed some called back some not, you would have thought that they would have had enough compassion to let everyone have Thanksgiving off. There are thousands of people that have died people that are missing family members this Thanksgiving for God's sake be compassionate and don't worry about the God Almighty dollar.

To all that believe macys or they management have good intentions they crazy they are full of sh– from all corners, from deshun williford, kelli cash and a fre others that treat employees liks sh–.and the company that make u use your earned pto for sick hours and dis regards the law passed in 2017 to give a sick hour for every hour work and never passed it on to employees the lay off employees for good.then give them self bonus as if they didnt have money to pay they employees they are liars all the time and every day i know what i know cause i worked for them faithfully for 7 years and then out of no where laid off for good i can go on and on but not enough space. Hell yes im p-ss-d cause they just like all the other rich people use people to make them shine and dont give a damn bout u period.i wish every one else work there come forward and let people know wht thus company do to u.

Exactly! It’s been almost a month since other retailers announced they would be closed. So if Macy’s hasn’t announced it yet, we will be open. Don’t self select a thanksgiving shift! Plain and simple. Don’t let them bully you like they do every year to pick up a shift. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO!!!! They will lie and make it seem like you have to pick up a thanksgiving shift. If you want to work, pick up a shift. Everyone will be assigned a Black Friday shift regardless of working thanksgiving or not. If you don’t pick up a shift, you CAN NOT be written up or fired. Think of all the past times where people didn’t show up for their Thanksgiving shifts. What happened!? NO A DARN THING.

still trying to figure out 1 was one of 4 thousand employees laid off after 10 years for good. Then give the tops millions in bonus a month later Shame on macys they will open on Thanksgiving if they can make any amount of money. They don't care about employees or customers

As long as customers shop on Thanksgiving stores will open employees should call in sick if they can afford it.

Reality check for anyone STILL wallowing in self denial-If M was going to close for the holiday they woulda shouted it loud & proud (like all the others did) weeks ago. Yes. All our stores will be open by 5 pm on Thanksgiving night. As well, we will be returning to normal operating hours no later than October. Like it or not, this is the plan.

How simply tacky, cheap and low brow of them. Just comes off as extremely socially unconscious and desperate. Show some respect toward your sales associates that put their health on the line every day, by making it mandatory that the executive staff work the day also.

Did you really read the article??? Every store listed was based off of 2019 Thanksgiving hours. Macy's has not officially anounced if it will be open or not. So keep your trolling internet false news to your self and get out of your mom's basement and get some fresh air. With a facial covering, of course!

This is so selfish of Macy's! When large Big Box Retailers Like Walmart,Target and Kohl's are closing on Thanksgiving Macy's should as well! It is all about the almighty dollar! Everything this world has gone through in the last 5 months, the employees should be allowed to spend the full holiday with their families. So much for the safety and wellness of their employees!
