Glad to see our ET execs are being aligned to external market payscale. Allows us to attract and retain high quality leaders

Why does ET try to push out business in strategy and decisions. They have questionable IT skills let alone business sense

That offer is three months old. OP has either signed or moved on by now. Or maybe has already done both.

Yes. Particularly if you have minimal tech knowledge. If you can fake it you can make it.

Maybe you can take the job and fix the c-ap a– tech that always goes down, or is counterintuitive. Maybe also think of the end user in mind during devo. You ET guys live in such a bubble.

How can you have a "meaningful impact" when a company is not inclusive to diverse thought? More mgmt psychobabble that is sheer Bullsh-t!

I would join the business side with your IT background. That is the place to drive real meaningful impact.

If you have an opinion ensure you don’t push, as to not offend your egotistical manager in ET and your IT Architect or Technology Engineer. You will be fired do as you are told and just do your job or else. Be prepared to be miserable and feel totally useless as long as you are happy making 300 to 500 per day nad have a pension ride out till your 62

Why did i not receive a role when we went through transition as a grad from a top 100 academic institution while our digital leader got a promotion and went to an undergrad and law school which is not currently accredited. Interesting what is valued.

Agree with post. Some really good things happening in a portion. Infrastructure provides a good environment. Would say the same for top leadership in innovation. Would ask around regarding the rest.

I actually work in ET, unlike a lot of people responding. I really like it, strong teams and support and engaging work. Product management has made us much more productive. Really good work life balance.

Our annual retention is 96%, even in the big cities which have competitive labor markets, so that should give you some insights.

The innovation area and infrastructure areas are growing and provide the right climate for success.

Apparently our IT staff is able to just sit on Yammer all day and create new groups when they get laughed off of the enterprise D&I group. Seems like a cushy gig to me. I don’t have 4 hours a day at my State Farm job to sit and whine on Yammer about how I’m being oppressed as a white Christian.

Our IT shop is literally k–ling our Company. Many of our failures to compete out the direct result of IT.

We tried new perspectives from outside at the expense of IT knowledge. I think there is realization that emperor has no clothes and they are re establishing common sense. Now is a good time to join.

The glassdoor reviews are pretty accurate overall. With some positive reviews written by corporate, for good measure. Trust your gut.

This isn’t the site to ask opinions on because people just b–ch and lack awareness of what it’s like to work for any other companies. Clearly, they’d rather continue working here despite how miserable they claim to be instead of going to work somewhere else. Also, lots of entitlement when so many others have lost jobs elsewhere due to the pandemic.

As long as this is not the only place where you ask.....do your due diligence and make up your own mind. I’m an old guy now, and not super happy. But I truly believe it’s the world changing and not just State Farm.
