Logged in and noticed a 10am meeting put on the calendar late last night. I work in EIS (or I guess it is ICS now). Meeting lasted all of about 15 minutes. Me, my manager, and an HR rep. FedEx package arrived at 10:35am. Among other things, it included 3 return FedEx labels for the two laptops, corp device, badges, and accessories.
I was full remote, so no "desk" items in an office to worry about. My VPN access, badge access, and Blackberry apps have all been disabled. In my role, they do not let us stay on and have any access once we are laid off or voluntarily quit. So that was not a surprise. More surprised that they could have it done while on the call.
From text messages, I know of at least 2 more from my team. And we all had either a 3 or a 4 on our mid-year reviews. Personally, I had a 4. The issue is that we were all of the senior people and thus cost too much. Our positions went to EGS in India. They hired for our positions 4 months ago, so we have been training them without knowing it.
2 weeks per year of continuing pay, plus benefits, which will take me into next year. Oh, and I was specifically warned not to share any information with others, especially outside of the bank. While this site was not mentioned, it certainly fell into the category of things to not share information on.
So, if anyone from HR or Legal is reading this... Hi!
I suppose the trolls won't believe any of this, though it is true. But ya know, trolls gotta troll......
