For those wishing HPE could do better by everyone, they can't. It's over. Every attempt has been made to bring the company out of the dumps but it can't be done.

HPE talks about being a force for good, but when it comes to layoffs, that is only the case when the law forces them to be good. Some US states require that accrued vacation time is paid when an employee is laid off, some don't. If HPE was a force for good and really cared about families, they would pay it to all employees affected by layoffs. They just pay it to the employees who reside in the states where they legally have to pay it.

But I'm sure that it helps that these layoffs are conducted by a CEO with compassion and respect. Antonio Neri leads "with the heart", has empathy, considers you family until you're layed off, I guess. All this as he says, "Please gather your stuff into a cardboard box and leave". What a guy.
