Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I am sorry.

This message is directed only towards people it applies to. I believe a while back(last year) I saw a post on here that needs repeating.
Could you please stop with the cringey over gratefullness. This company screws it's associates over all the time and to add insult to injury most of us are not paid enough for what we put up with.

This bonuses we receive only come around once a while.

As a long timer, 29 years, I have felt some disrespect. Because of ageism that I don't think they realize they are doing, we are always overlooked for positions often offered to favorites or younger associates that can be molded to be the next "productive" manager. Since isolated in the cash office as a lead, never was I offered a MSL position. Instead I was offered bakery associate position only. I have returned back to the frontline only to be placed as door greeter, exit door or self checkout. Humiliating. I have looked outside of Sam's but unfortunately people 60 and over without technical abilities really are not considered and starting at my Cap amount. I have about a year or 2 left. Hope I make it!

I don't care who signs your paycheck. You work for yourself, and your family. Period.
Also, when at work, act like you represent your whole family. Because you do.

Of course this company don't care about employees. Companies aren't living entities, so "It" is incapable of caring.

Why you expect It to care about the individual is beyond me. Care about yourself. That's the answer.

If you're bound and determined to work for Walmart/Sam's Club, you're best bet is to keep applying for the better paying job. Even then, you should keep looking for a job that pays more. This life, the one we've been given by our parent, is about us, not the place we work. So do your very best to succeed.

Been with the company far too long to see who they really care about the newbies. People that have been there for a long period of time is shoved to the side.

Anybody who really believes this company cares about their associates need only look around to try to locate all of the long termers we had just a couple of short years ago. If you can find one ask them if the company cared about them while they were showing or shoving them out the door.

But the master lives me. I know because he only beat me 5 times today instead of the usual 6...
