Always be kind and respect others!

I realize this is a naive question for an anonymous forum, but couldn't we all be a bit more kind and respectful on this forum?

I've been reading through the posts today to understand what's happening, and I've been shocked with how mean spirited some of the posts have been. Luckily, some of the worst ones seem to have been removed, but the tone and content of many posts are just mean.

Everyone impacted by these layoffs is a fellow human being with their own stories, families, challenges, aspirations, strengths and imperfections.

I wish there was more compassion for those impacted. Some great folks I worked with before been impacted already – I am shocked and deeply saddened to see these #valuable and pure #gold people go.

This seems to be a good forum to learn about what's happening and prepare ourselves, but it's saddening to be reading through and then just smacked in the face with some of these mean-spirited posts.

Bunch of losers dumping nonsense c-ap. You don't like it? Find a better place or go protest at the city hall, also burn some business while peaceful protesting.

OP, you work for Oracle? Naaaaaah, I don't believe it. No one I met would have said anything like this. Oracle is full of a-holes.

Oh, yeah, I worked with some great people in development. But, they were so busy taking my ideas and filing their own patents for them, that I just never got to really know them.

Honestly, if you think you are working with nice people, you should pull your head out of your a– and really take a look around.

There are poor managers at every company, that treat people badly. the question is, does upper management take action.

Sorry if you are feeling a little bit offended by some of the comments here. Aww. Get a grip, there are some nasty people working at Oracle. Deal with it.

I mean it's a website about layoffs. This isn't the Disney Channel. People are going to be p-ss-d off here.

Keep in mind that for every mean spirited troll there are many more who are not, but they don't post.
