How are clubs handling associates and the club business when an associate tests positive for COVID-19?
If a fresh associate tests positive for COVID-19, do clubs shut down the department? Fresh associates are all in close contact for possibly 8+ hours a day. Can a fresh associate opt to take leave and be tested themselves if a fellow coworker tests positive?
How have other clubs handled club business after an associate tests positive for COVID-19?

I would like to know if there is anything that can be done about them not informing us that someone has tested positive for COVID-19?? I know for a fact that our management has not told people who have been in close contact with someone until the person has already come back to. Shouldn’t they be made to inform us so that we can get tested and take precautions not to infect our families? I don’t understand how they can not be held responsible??!!
The club I work at has had many positive cases. They haven’t shut down anything ever! Cleaning lists get assigned, management usually has meetings just to say we’ve had another positive case. Tells us not to post anything about it on social media. Then sends us all back to work. Then several people get freaked out and take a leave of absence for a couple of weeks, the rest of us come to work.
Nothing happens. We have had about a dozen cases. I'm a health screener and can see who goes on LOA. The people that have had it are completely open about it. Management has to keep quiet because it is a Hippa violation.
They just state that this is a matter between the associate and management and is a violation of the associates rights so can not be spoken about.
Funny, as they ask us everyday have we been around anyone with COVID-19 in which I now reply, “Have I?”. We will never know unless said associate tells us they have had it/tested positive at which time what are you going to do?
Shhhhh
We have 2 cases of covid in our club...hush hush...don't say a word. Such b.s. One was a Fresh TL...
They keep quiet and don't say nothing about it like everything is normal.
