Specialists schedules have all of us scheduled from 2pm to 3pm this day. I’m scheduled off and was told I had to come in. I have heard they’re cutting some of the specialists positions!

Watched a 15 year employee get fired, no reason given. When he pressed the issue he was told too many customer complaints. When he requested to see them, he was denied and walked out the door. Rumor has it, they only want part-timers with no benefits. We will see.
Our store is expected to make DOUBLE from last year,
I expect no cuts soon.

Well Walmart announced some restructure and layoffs after they notified the affected. Why not do any restucure when you have the money in the bank from the covid sales. Also the new 300 bonus being paid on a off cycle pay period? Wondering why, payroll closes 3 pm the 10th for 14th....if you're not there on the week of the 15th, maybe just saved a whole bunch of money?
Since when is the spot light a reason for you to come to work on your day off or vacation? Could be some incompetent manager at your store... hope not! But if it's the new bonus structure....lame, will see!
8/11 is a Tuesday. This is the same day you should be having your specialty spotlight. This is also held at 2pm. Not sure why this is a surprise. If your store has not been having the spotlight meetings, your specialty ASM is failing you.

to heard it here first ace 1 the new bonus plan starts 8-1 we will get the info on it after 8-10 i have seen it we all can bonus up to 1250 a month it includes all specalist they are not gone start a new bonus plan and then fire everyone come on give me a break i am 100 percent positive about this

Ace, it’s a reduction in workforce. Just the same as January 2017 with ASMs, This time packets won’t be pre-mailed.

I still don't see cabinets or millwork specialist positions being cut.
So this is the game plan from a trusted source. Yes there is a 2-3pm meeting to discuss the new direction for specialists, for those that still remain.... For the unlucky ones, they will be contacted the night before to come in at 8am to be walked out. Good luck to everyone decisions on who goes already made.

Think about it, every cut has been at the beginning of a new quarter; fsa, garden specialist, rtm clerk, .....
None of the specialist at my store are scheduled for a 1 hour meeting on the 11th
They are not gonna have a mandatory meeting give a two week notice to demote or fire people get for real they are gonna roll out the new plan
Well ACE, if that's your name, why are they having people come in just to get the lowdown on a specialist bonus structure that has been in the works for 10 months. That could have and at least should have been discussed before the program roles out. The meeting on the 11th makes no sense if it is only to unveil that plan. Who in their right mind is coming in on a day off or a vacation day just to find out something that can be explained any old day?

where do you see a 1250/month bonus plan? All the associates who were in the test pilot markets were saying 250

They are starting a new bonus plan where specalist can make up to 1250 month its starts 8 1. The position is not going away. Quit putting stuff on here to freak people out
I've never seen one of these meetings turn out well. Especially if the managers are claiming ignorance. Don't placate yourselves with false hopes.
I'm not saying they are eliminating the position. That has been bandied about for years and still has not happened but of course that will take place eventually. What i can tell you is that there is something is going on between 2-3 on the 11th because if you cursor over any specialists schedule that day there is a slot between 2 &3 . Those at our store that have that day off are scheduled from 2-3. Maybe its just to go over the new incentive program but it's odd that they would do it 10 days after the fact and have everyone from vacation and days off coming in just for that.
8/11 is the day omnia is fully turned on. Genesis is fully turned off on that day as well. Our store still has not received traning.

Alot of local stores around my area are still hiring specialists so I doubt it's gonna be lay offs.
I have seen the new bonus structure. Specialist are not being eliminated stop spreading false rumors they are focused om specalist sales i have seen the structure for the bonus specalist are not going away the bonus starts next month and we will be able to look at our numbers will be able to bonus up to 1250 a month. We will be able to look at our numbers after 8-10 its more of a team based plan based on sales plan
They wouldnt demand someone who was off that day that they hadto come in if was about the new bonus plan.
I’m hearing the elimination of flooring, plumbing, millwork, appliance as home decor specialists. Pros go any and pro desk specialists and cabinets remain for now with no decrease, just title change. The phaseout will be gradual and employees have until sometime in January to find a new position.

No one is losing their job. The specialist title is just being eliminated. You will be a CSA4 with a pay cut. You will still have the same duties you have now. Marv needs you to sacrifice to make up for all the bonus money that’s been paid. Just take one for the team.
It say 2-3 meeting on my schedule plus my regular shift 8-6. Other specialists in the store who is off that day are scheduled 2-3 meeting. The specialty ASM claims he doesn’t know what it’s about. But said to be there. That makes no sense. Do Marvin think were that dumm.

Absolutely nothing surprises me with this company any more. They screwed the long time specialists when they rescinded the allowance, then they "claimed" they were going to replace it with some sort of new sales incentive (which never happened). Typical 30+ minute hold times to get through to Order Replenishment only to be told that they aren't allowed to put half of the items currently OWED TO CUSTOMERS on order for you due to COVID blocks. More and more canceled orders everyday with an ever increasing number of customers walking out stating they will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. The stores are turning into a non-stop sh—show. Enjoy your slightly higher stock price investors as there is no way in Hades LOW will ever catch HD at this rate.
