IF I actually waited for a check in

I'd be stealing time.. today I tested how long I'd stand waiting for a check in calling every 10 minutes. I called 15 times after 15 I went and personally spoke to someone... it then took 20 more minutes for someone to come.

Our backroom associates are the ones who are checking in associates( I guess mgr think we have nothing else to do!) It's annoying when we are unloading a truck and checking in vendors to have to stop what we're doing to check associates in especially when the associates come in 10-20 min late. The Covid app S—S! It takes sometimes 15 tries to answer questions. We get bothered all the time about check in, even on breaks!

You're a grown adult. You can take your own temperature and answer the covid questions on the handheld.

One of the huge issues at our store is the phone. It rings off the hook. There can be four people at the desk and they don't pick it up. Ridiculous.

Not sure what a "check in" is. Terminology must be different in our region.

What I can tell you, is if you were calling the phone at the desk, people hang up before I can answer. There is one phone with three lines, and usually I'm the only person to working this joke of a desk. Waiting on the member in front of me is top priority, the phone only gets answered if there isn't a line of people. And I always have a line of people.

Now it didn't use to be this way. The "new" desk's layout is awkward and it is physically impossible to answer the phone and wait on someone at the same time.

Then consider three lines, that never stop ringing, and only one person to answer them.

Then consider the members don't just want transferred to another department, they want questions answered. "Do we have black shirts with little fish in a size 2x?" or "Do you have any trampolines in yet?" So you have to go to Ask Sams, which never - EVER - answers using the voice enquiry because it picks up all the other noises around and can't understand me with a mask on.

So if that's what you're talking about, then yes, you're lucky if you call and someone answers.

If you're waiting to talk to a manager, they're putting out fires all over the place and don't have time to answer. At least at our club. Good people there.

There aren't enough people working at our club. Not like there use to be.
