Another HW plant getting shut down...

I’m so glad to see that HW has been fiscally responsible to weather the storms by beating the s*** outta the employees.

Urbana, Greer, Olathe and Torrance have been on the block for the past few years as well. Watch what’s going on. Employees out, contract labor in then shut it down.

The plan is 50% rooftop reduction, before covid. Dont think we are even close to that yet. So more closure coming
With less people due to layoff, the % plan may even increase

Anyone hear that they are also closing their label manufacturing plant in Illinois?

From the article:

Speaking from the company’s Charlotte, North Carolina, headquarters, Krantz described the move as a consolidation of services.

“Our facility in Muncie is performing similar work, and so this effort will help us better serve our customers.”

Sure,..always about better serving customers. Who at Honeywell has ever heard anything different, yet the reality is always about making quarterly numbers, stock price and management bonuses.
