Managers and Team Leads you are now put on notice! We the peons of Sam's Club have smart phones with apps recording your harassment on daily basis. Whether it be the health check, a meeting, office scolding, or just straight bullying, WE ARE RECORDING YOU. Associates, know your state rights on recording conversations. In most states it is legal as long as one of the party know(you). You should also know that you should never let a manager or fellow associate know as it is against company policy to record in the store! While you will be unable to use any of this evidence while employed, it may be vital for unemployment and many other legal matters!

Who the hell is going to court over a job tha5 pays 11 an hour. Tell the MGR to F%%% O%% and go find another job.
I've actually invested in some camera glasses I found on Amazon. 50 bucks but it's been a great investment. Video evidence is much better. :)
In 12 states—California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington—all parties involved need to consent before one of them can record the conversation. However in other states by all means RECORD RECORD RECORD. Respect for the individual has been thrown out the window. Do not let them get away with it. If you are a manager or team lead please watch your words carefully and assume every associate is recording. It could come back to bite you with a vengeance!
I believe it's generally considered okay to record a conversation in any setting where neither party could reasonably expect their conversation to be private. For example, recording something said on the sales floor would be different than recording a private conversation in the manager's office.
That said, I recorded several of my evaluations so I could listen and refresh my memory of what was said later.
Very untrue that it's false. In very few states is it required for both parties. You are likely an oppressive abusive manager. Your day of reckoning is nigh. False. It will not be held up in almost any court of BOTH parties do not know they are being recorded.
