Perry Pelos, on the Commercial Banking town hall today, did say layoffs are coming, no big surprise but at least he admitted it. Mandy’s call was abysmal, typical waste of time.
It was for sure an uncomfortable call. Mandy was late as mentioned and Price did a good job filling in with what are almost always scripted questions. A courageous person, or not too smart, stated they felt that WF had taken a step back in senior leadership diversity and SP did audibly get irritated and could only respond that he disagreed and would not get into the accounting. Not sure how you can refute it, it is pretty obvious especially when he himself is a white male. Later on Mandy was asked a similar question and at least was honest in saying the optics were not good on the senior leadership diversity. I commend her for at least saying that but rumor has been she will be gone at some point too. I heard from a girlfriend that Scott's hire Nate (or Nathan - cannot remember what she said) (a new hire leader) had a call as well this week that went over horribly. Sounds like there is a lack of good leadership skills
What did you think of the Mandy, Scott, Price call today? I thought it was a disaster. She was late. Scott got snarky when team members called Out the company on the lack of diversity given recent hiring at the senior executive level and recent diverse loss of senior executives. Scott lacked empathy around the topic and failed to validate employee concerns. Then, he completely deflected the question on whether there were going to be layoffs, and just quoted Wells efficiency ratio verses our peers. Everyone with a brain already knows that information. Then, Mandy gets on to remind everyone to finish filling out the Risk activity survey so she can lay everyone off. Truly this was one of the worst calls with senior leadership. Totally unprofessional. It was like the 3 stooges are in charge. Complete lack of trust and transparency from leadership. I was embarrassed by these so-called leaders. I understand that layoffs are needed, but the way theY are handling the communication/delivery demonstrates arrogance and a complete lack of respect for employees. Gross!

Who is Mandy and Scott?
Scott Powell has a new Exec reporting to him, Nate Herman (sp?) who is now involved in FLOD controls. All the front line control execs dotted line report to Nate. There is a lot change hitting these people.
I have also heard that there is a task force forming with this new team under COO and org structure related to Issues Mgmt and maybe some other stuff, but again this seemed more about FLOD.
