Regarding less attractive severance now - that’s Frank. He did that at FD. The policy was 2 weeks per year up to 26 week max then FB came and dropped it to 1. Such a jerk.

2 weeks per year in a lump sum gives a huge percentage to taxes. Cobra then runs about another $1500 per month starting day 1. There is no down time, it’s find a job fast. Attractive as a severance might sound, it’s often better to simply leave and not give them the pleasure of firing you. Because they do take great pleasure in it

I think there will be 30-40% attrition which will be partially backfilled with cheaper and less experienced people. Lower level positions will continue to be filled by those looking for work.

I agree with the poster who said that severance packages will be less attractive. Nothing beyond the standard 2 weeks per year + able to get COBRA.

I can concur with some previous posts, that we will be unemployed or with a different employer. I have seen about 40% attrition, and would only expect it to accelerate as people get fed up with working 50-60hrs a week. The ship is sinking, clients are getting upset, projects are delayed and things are still chaotic with very little direction. Working on my exit as well.

I'm actively looking for a different job, I reckon most of us will have left or be made redundant unfortunately. The firm is a sinking ship.

Sounds about right and the severance packages are far less attractive now. Timing is everything
