I have been a part of the now "Business Group" for about 6 years now. It's a shame new positions are restricted to VBG only right now. If a great upstanding employee from another division wants his or her chance at a career change, let it happen! It's limiting the overall potential and diversity of this company. I can also state that the candidates applying are slim pickings, too! It makes zero sense to me.
How can Verizon fulfil its duty to shareholders while simultaneously restricting open positions to only a small portion of current Verizon employees? Essentially we are giving a benefit to a few current Verizon employees. Let everyone apply and if it turns out a current VBG employee isn't the best candidate - explain to me the benefit again?
About time, overpaid for decades
I noticed all jobs posted in business group are restricted for current business group employees. Makes me think some people are going to be told look for a job or get out
I believe it, lots of bloat.
