Rumor is that US notices will be Monday 6/15 and your 2 weeks will end on 6/26. If you are not let go then your pay cut goes into effect 7/1. Anyone else hearing the same rumor?

The new site in Spring will replace the older Cyprus site, due to flooding issues it's a good thing.
Hidden benefits, faster commute to IAH. Closer to Exxon-Mobile world headquarters and associated service industries that will shift to the I-99 loop.
I remember the question about building the Texas site in one of the All Hands Calls... he did say that they are moving forward with that site. He indicated that he expects only 50% of employees to return to the office - that the other 50% will WAH permanently. Part of the cost savings plan is via real estate so I am sure that there will be some site/building sales and/or non renewals of leases. in the future the offices will be more set up as flex-space drop in cubes - we don't use dedicated land lines like years past, so having dedicated cubes is really not as important.
In view of the current WFRs that have been communicated planned thru 2022 is there any need tobuild a new HPE Site in Spring ? in addition to the acceleration of employees WFH due to the COVID ? how will that impact open office environment planned ?
Actually if you are an active employee you have access to the calculation. Log into the HPE Employee Insider homepage. In the top right corner (Intranet search box) start typing Workforce - you will see a suggestion pop up for U.S. Workforce Reduction Program (WFR) - click that link. On that page select the Information & Tools section. You should review the SPD doc (page 3) and the FAQs doc. Within those docs it spells out the details of the severance package. It is more than just # weeks of pay for # years of service. Once you see the details you can model based on specific salary and years of service.
11 weeks pay minimum for 11 years service ? How much do you get for 20 years ? 25 years ? 30 years ? of service. after 12 years do you get 1 week for every year up to maximum ?
Someone that was WFR notified indicated 10% of the company would be reduced (approximately 6,000) - I am assuming that was part of his/her notification conversation. I don't believe that all 10% happened on Monday - I agree with others that there will be other notice dates - July 13th??
Still no words how many were impacted?
Yes - minimum 11 weeks. Anyone with 11 years of service (or less) gets the same. 11 weeks of pay (taxed at bonus rate) - if you have more than 11 years there is a different calculation for years 12+
To be eligible for the severance benefits of the VCTP program, you would have to be notified of WFR prior to March 31. So No.
The WFR package details is always posted internally... scroll down someone provided details. Is it min 11 weeks pay?
My former peers at HP. I was on the HPI side, retired Feb this year. 30 plus yrs. Blessed that my time had come. Wanted to work a few more years, but the EER was tough to pass on. 1 yr salary, 3 yrs medical insurance as an employee, lhh transition services for now 5 months because of covid. I would recommend the lhh to everyone, even if you're not sure about going to find work. I hope you all find the get out of jail card, last 4 months have definitely not s—ed, finally realized that life is good beyond the blood sweat and tears I put in working 50-70 hours a week. Good luck!
Any updates from anyone’s leadership/management that this is going to be an ongoing thing?
32+ years no thanks Just sorry position elimanated. you can try for other positions , They are not back filling the early retirment positions . They are all on hold
My question was are they being offered the over 50 years old, with 15 years of service, offer that included 9 months salary and 1 year medical that was offered back in February with departure dates 3/20/20 , 5/1/20, or 10/27/20.
There was a rumor after the VCTP was offered earlier this year that instead of being laid off the people who met the above criteria would still be able to get 9 mos pay plus 1 year medical
Yes, The LHH Career Transition Service is included.
The people WFR’ed on 6/15/20 are they also being offered the voluntary career transition program benefits that was offered February 2020
Were the people WFR’ed by HPE able to take the voluntary career transition program or only have the WFR being offfered
Based on history, I usually see notifications happen on Monday (because the letters/packages are done in batches based on country) and everything is pre-populated with dates. Unless you were OOO yesterday (or your manager was OOO) you can assume the notices for this week are complete. Again, these are done in batches so you likely won't see any more for a few weeks. I doubt they will have multiple cycles happening at the same time, so I would guess 7/13 for next notification, due to the 4th of July holiday week.
Should we be expecting some more phone calls today?
Usually notices are on a Monday. I would expect another round in July - probably 7/13.
More layoffs expected this week? Believe this is going to be an ongoing weekly event?
More layoffs expected this? Is this going to become an every Monday sort of event?
It’s true. I just got riffed today. Last day is 6/26.

10% would be high and I haven't heard about any wfrs in storage today.
Does anyone have a firm idea who they are targeting? Any frontline sales reps?
More layoffs coming this week? And 10%! That’s a large number.
I was told it’s about 10% of the work force or about 6000 people. Not sure if it’s all done yet but I’m sure by Wednesday it should be over.
is it done today or just the beginning?
15 weeks for me
Haven't heard anything in Storage product engineering yet.
Anyone heard layoffs for engineering in any org?
Have they started talking about severance packages yet? I know it can be different every time we circle the toilet bowl.
Any R&D layoffs? curious. R&D seems to have the most redundancy from my observation, people don't do much but everyone pretends to be busy all the time. The best is that it is hard for managers to tell cuz they don't know anything, all they care is being told "I am on schedule", which is a "schedule" without content, I guess you know what I meant.
Is this applicable to all teams .. Any front end HIT / Aruba Sales and Presales teams affected ?
I know the storage PBM team has been hit pretty hard along with a few SA’s. With numbers they the roof and accounts not executing we all sorta know something was going to happen. I think we’re looking at a sustained slow bleed of folks supporting sales.
Honestly who do they have to sell anything?
I just got my call - 10% of the company is being laid off.
Yes - In the US PN Sales team - Unsure of # but I can confirm 1 so far.
I'ts true, Not sure of the total numbers, impacted Pre-Sales, and one of out team members. not sure about other groups.
any confirmation?
It is happening...received my WFR call 2hrs ago. Part of sales org as well, here 2 yrs. no word on how widespread...
