Has anybody really thought about whether or not the volume on the Joe Shmuck site justified Joe's keeping it going? The thing that began as Trooper Brown's board back in the GTE days was a wonderful thing. Joe Shmuck tried to keep the original concept going, with that being a place where folks could voice issues and ask questions deserving answers. In the end nobody seemed to care enough to participate. Why should Joe have kept it going?
Sure does look like it gone, the moderator (Lexus) seemed like a good guy, surprised that he didn't say site was being shut down or ask it somebody else wanted to manage site.

Didn't see any requests for donations, guess it's just a relic of the old Bell system. Sorry to see it go though.
They may have shut the site down. There was a cost to maintain it and it wasn't getting nearly the traffic it once did all many years ago.
