Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Advice: Get your resume out, find another job or career, and move on.

I quit HP years ago when I saw the writing on the wall, and I never looked back....It was was the best decision I ever made!

Good luck to all of you, these are difficult times.

PS: Tell your kids or grand-kids to get a good education - that will carry them thru the challenges ahead.

Passing the coding tests is just practice. Unfortunately they are pretty useless but that's where we are in our industry

Out Standing enough not to be able to pass most of the coding test in today's market.

Seriously, you have to either be unemployable or so terrified of change to still be there. If you are an "outstanding" engineer you should have enough self-worth to realize there are way more lucrative opportunities out there with employers that are actually growing. I can't tell you how much more enjoyable it is to be with a company growing 30% YoY than one that is doing annual layoffs

Accepted the HPE EER in January (5 minutes after I got the email). May 1 was my last day. 9 months pay, insurance for a year.

Laughing at all you sad excuses that are still with this company. Grow some balls and quit.

Given our financial performance I wonder if we will be getting a bonus this year. I live for these bonus payouts which have been so generous over the last 10 years.

Most HPE engineers are outstanding.

Most HPE engineers will not do well in today's market, too obsolete, which is why they hang in there.
