Any rumors for the Chicagoland IBEW Local 21 Layoff?

40% of 10.5K, so realistically 4,000 in IBEW 21, you have to realize that 20% of headcount is already out on disability, this includes legitimate folks and the FMLA fukkery that goes on, add another 20% to that and you get their magic number. 10%of members will see the writing on the wall and take SIPP’s, so we’re looking at total layoff losses of 30%, ain’t that right MECHANIC PAUL? You’ll see the local 21 rats come flying back to the field to grab their chair and act like it’s all good. We are so fked it’s not funny. Anyone under the Vazquez guy in Illinois lookout he’s trying to put some feathers in his cap before the ish starts flying.
The union is well aware of any planned layoffs impacting membership. Those leaders should be able to inform best the plans.
IBEW is going to get hit very hard. I was part of the Union and it doing to be a sad day. I think it will be up to 30 percent gone with a snap of the fingers.
