With the right non-print acquisition, yes. But that will cost a lot of money and drain the bank account. Plus where are the lessons learned from the ACS acquisition? From my view, little was learned from that failure. Icahn cronies will try to extract synergies, it’s what they do. Heads will roll, and posturing around which company will run the shared services will further erode morale and productivity at legacy Xerox.

Anne was great but the one mistake she made was a whopper and destroyed the company.

The kicker is that "something new and gainful" is needed now, not to go into development now.

It could have been saved under Anne Mulcahy, a person who cared about both employees and quality. JohnnyV and the horrible, horrible head of HR are total jerks who only care about themselves. The chuckleheads that are in power are awful. Even Thoman was better than this!

Xerox needs to put Webster to use and manufacture medical equipment. X ray machines, MRI machines, etc.

Print isn't dead. It won't be for a long time. However volume will continue to go down, so we'll see more consolidation of the industry. How much, if any, of that Xerox will have is the question.

Ya, right there with BlockBuster.....there is NO way this company comes out of this, between the greedy a– leadership at Xerox and the clueless group of mo–ns at HCL who are spreadsheet happy and don't have a clue about how a copier business is run and the "yes men" offshore who wouldn't know how to add 2+2 together, we have the trifecta of failure!!!!

OMG NO!
Even if it could somehow magically become a tech powerhouse, which it isn’t, the company would require actual leadership. That means making decisions based on the business and not on greed.
So no, there is simply no possible way to stop the ship from going down.
Best of luck everyone

Last poster nailed it. Xerox technology is dead. Print is dead. Digital transformation age is now fully integrated part of the world economy - we were dragged there whining and a screaming. COVID taught everyone that they can do without the office and without print. Final nail in the coffin for Xerox.

In the year 1899 a crowd of people watching automobiles go by are asked "Can this buggy whip company be saved".

The year is 2020...same answer to your question.
