When s’more pallets with grams come into Kroger, that’s cross docking. We don’t get the grams from Mondelez warehouse, we ship to a third party who builds the pallets and then they come from Kroger warehouse. Frito supply chain is very very different than Mondelez. Our supply chain is exactly that of nestle and Kellogg. No, we are not too big! That’s a very silly statement to argue for dsd. Frito will change things up, they are already cao in wal mart and Kroger, but they won’t be warehouse before us! Guarantee that!
Sorry I didn't realize that there's a difference between cross dock and warehouse. He did say cross dock so I apologize if I may have made a false statement about frito lay
Cross dock and warehouse are two very different things! Mondelez has been cross docking in wal mart for years! Our pallets that come out of their warehouse are all cross dock. Cross dock is just that, cross dock!
DSD is ending for Mondelez....Frito is behind us in line!

That's not what a frito guy told me today.
He said that after July 4th in Kroger stores frito will be going cross dock through the warehouse. He said that he won't be delivering to Kroger anymore. Just merchandising. Game over

Were not setup at all like Frito lay, that’s not happening! How many reps drive a truck and have only three stores and carry all store stock? None! And never will! People will say anything to try to convince themselves those job is safe, and it’s not! DSD is about to end for Mondelez! End of story!
i agree you are next in line the store will try to keep your products stocked but most of them the communication from top to bottom s—s. when mondelez offers wal mart target etc bonuses for sales targets and they stop hitting them cause of store employees not doing their job then it will change and all the displays will come back and shelf space. as an ex nestle person we have more displays now than ever before cause they have the funding to buy the space for weeks or months at a time locking out opponents. plus the shipments are getting bigger the store cant deny them or lose the contracts for the big bucks at the end of the game. makes perfect sense to go warehouse.

This forum needs to understand the company is moving to a more Frito model of merchandising product not selling/ordering it. should have been done years ago

New MOD'S have less order writes. They want you to send the cao once a week and write the other order. I have 15 stores on my territory and now I'm pretty much only in them once a week. Writing is definitely on the wall! Game over!
What is this about?
Yep makes perfect sense, let’s take my biggest accounts and instead of focusing on them more...let’s focus on them less and “trust the CAO” since I’m supposed to have all of my on hands correct somehow. We are basically turning back into merchandisers ladies and gents I was holding out hope for a long time but I’m starting to get worried they are finally making some serious moves to end DSD soon
