Word on the San Jose streets is that Naresh will be “out” within 30 days. As one having been on the receiving end of naresh action, I can say this is plausible if not likely.

Perhaps “out” has a different meaning here.
If it happens, it will be interesting to see where his replacement will be located. My view, from inside webster engineering / technology: the management shift to be more "PARC-focused" made little sense. Too disconnected from the core product development activities that are generating whatever revenue we are getting. I assume this was to support the idea of Xerox becoming a software-focused business that could thrive based on DocuShare and AI-based software applications. I don't have any insight into those businesses, but it seems unlikely that they can generate sufficient revenues to measurably offset the secular declines in printers.
Of course, if Naresh is replaced, and the replacement ends up in Raleigh (probability > 0.5, I'd think), I'm not sure that will be much better.

Maybe it's like Icahn's i-pad initiative. "I pad my pockets while the rest of you go broke and out of business."
And why is San Jose so knowledgeable about this? Xerox isn’t based in the Bay Area.

I'm sure he will leave with his golden parachute and condescending smile, then tell his next employer how successful he was at his last job.
It would not a loss. But like our current government, he'd be replaced by an even worse yes-man-or-woman.
