Is anyone familiar with NY unemployment availability after the expiration of the 14 month severance period. Having a hard time finding employment, like others, at the moment. Stay safe!

It depends on the state. If I were you I would apply for unemployment online and see what happens.
I applied in Illinois 11 months after I left VZW. I am approved for the maximum unemployment benefit with dependent allowance and I get an additional $600 per week automatically because of Covid19.
Good luck!
In Georgia, we are eligible for unemployment based on Covid-19. Eligible for regular UI and FPUC ($600, until 7/25/20). Medical conditions qualify. If denied regular unemployment, you can qualify for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) for 13 weeks and up, effective from 2/2/20. Facts.
Every state is different. You need to contact the unemployment office and ask directly. And to all you people assuming the OP volunteered, there were over 600 hundred forced out because they didn't want to be rebadged to a foreign company. There was a lot to lose for retire eligible. They most certainly didn't volunteer to leave. So what's with the nastiness? It doesn't affect you. And I hope you are never in those shoes. Have some compassion. Unemployed is unemployed.
You volunteered to leave. Your are not eligible for unemployment.
Yes. After your 14 Month Severance Period ends and you’re still unemployed, you’re now eligible to receive unemployment benefits. Probably not eligible for the Covid19 Federal $600 per week benefits, but you are eligible for State unemployment Insurance benefits. Good Luck to you and stay safe.
