Day Off - No Pay

Sorry to piggy back of such an epic post, but how do feel about losing it? Side note...I think it’s the worst decision I’ve heard that doesn’t involve money.

This makes no sense why would the company spends so much money on this system to take the ownership of scheduling away from managers probably because they want to lay some of those off. And not building a feature that existed in the old resource Central requesting what day you would like off that week without using any type of leave. so the system is supposed to be a self-service thing but now GM's and SMS or going to have to manage what day's people are unavailable. This makes no sense. If you have a good management team you'll probably be okay. why not building the system for you to put in with days you're unavailable as the employee. Because they don't want this.

If it's a doctors appointment or something covered under FMLA they have to give you the day off as long as you tell them the week before.

This scheduling system makes no sense. What if people need specific days off each week? They have to switch every week with a co-worker? How annoying.

Not true. You can still request a day off. The SM/GM can put those specific days unavailable for you in advance if you tell them before the schedule builds

I think it's a joke. They said they'd be giving us better work life balance. Now they're forcing us to use PTO to guarantee a day off?? If I need every 10th of of the month I'm gonna have to use vacation to insure I'm not scheduled? Give me a break.
