Either that or they're looking for a way out. We are already shorthanded as it is and we keep losing people. And don't get me started on their replacements - when we get some. They are terrible! They have zero experience, zero drive, and no work ethic. This place is going down the drain and nobody in the management seems to care...

That's because they can find other work. Good people with a great work ethic will always be in demand. At least, anywhere but this c-aphole of a company.
Isn’t retail supposed to be an entry level field where you can go in with zero experience? It seems to me that many jobs like Sam’s and other retail/warehouse jobs is that people are too lazy to train.
I’ve had to train associates who’ve been with the company on the floor for 5+ years on how to make a bale instead of going on break and whining about no one crushing their boxes for them.
There’s people who’ve been with the company for 10+ years who spend more time getting new associates out of the company just to complain about being constantly understaffed when they get what they asked for. It’s the same cycle, new associate comes in, new associate barely gets trained, new associate doesn’t make probation then older associates complain about how they are constantly understaffed.
Rule number 6
Meet the new generation of workers!
Better start paying you better than $11.22 or what? I am sorry but I can and am telling you there are a lot of worse jobs out there and unless you are aware and know what to look for you will find yourself in one of them. I fully agree Sam’s should take pride in their employees and pay them a wage that would have people lined up wanting to work for them but they do not.
I understand your anger and disappointment in Sam’s but I also want to tell you to beware. Sam’s does a number of things backwards and like they do not care but at the end of the day it is a craziness that you know and can handle as to going elsewhere and finding yourself steps back.
At the end of the day be thankful for what you have but always look to better yourself.
You're right! I've been here for almost 2 years and have seen the vast majority of managers and associates leave. Replacements are trying but are not trained properly. Also minimum wage goes up to $11 nation wide Jan 1st, better start paying me better than $11.22!!
