Level set if you are WFR'ed you will not get 9 months severance pay. Refer to prior post for explanation on the 9 months.

Refer to the HPE Portal for details on your Severance pay calculations.

Please note the 9 months referenced in the earlier replies regarding "Cost Assessment" was done to assist Employees in the decision making process between (1) Taking the Voluntary Retirement (VCTP) offer based on 9 months pay and (2) Declining the VCTP offer and risk being WFRed in 9 months. By using the 9 months timeframe it is obvious employees did not accept the Voluntary Retirement that got WFR'ed off at 9 months (assume 12/20/20 end date of employement) your decision to gamble on staying would cost you more money. If you did not last you were WFR'ed and did not last the 9 months (7/17/20, lasted 4 months then you are short by 5 months).

Median UI, including federal enhanced UI, is currently $1000/week.
It may turn into another 99 week program just like in GFC.

For the last question about VCTP, no, you would have had to be notified of your WFR by May 31 for it to be converted to VCTP. With WFR you will be eligible for unemployment (with VCTP you would not).

I qualifified for the Voluntary Career Transition Program (VCTP) but decided not to take it. After VCTP program closed we were told that for the employees who qualified (50 yrs old, 15 yrs experience) that we would have the option of taking the VCTP if we were WFR'ed.

Do you know if this there is any truth to that if I receive the WFR on 7/13/20 that I will be given the VCTP offer versus Severance Pay.

Yes?

Unless you don’t have a job offer by Monday, July 20th, you should file for unemployment.

I’m assuming you’re someone my age. I’m 26 and I’m getting let go this Friday. You’ll have to look at COBRA with HPE as well so you can stay insured.

Your manager should have given you documents on what you need to next.

I'm pretty sure you can, however, if you report earnings in the period that you are claiming unemployment you may not be eligible for that week/period. Ultimately it is up to TWC to make the eligibility determination and you will be notified.
