Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Survivors guilt

Aero

As the dust settles, and I find out who was let go, I'm continuley shocked at the top talent and contribution that was RIFed.

Even in this employment environment, most should have no trouble finding a good job. They are that good.

What's equally as shocking is the people that made it thru. Makes no fing sense.

I get that everyone is shocked by who left/ who stayed, but what does this thread have to do with Survivor's Guilt?

In the first round they were clearly going for high salaries based on the years of experience of most of the people that left (voluntarily or not) but the second round was much more strategic. Some people were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like OP said many of the iRIF people are top talents that other companies will be thrilled to hire. Best of luck to all, you will be missed.

No consideration on product knowledge or customer experience with Boeing, Airbus, FedEx, UPS, etc. HW only saw$$ and years of service. The expertise that left will land on their feet elsewhere. Bye bye HW...
